I will be showing a new series of photographic prints inspired by lawn tennis at The Chipping Norton Theatre Gallery from 31st May- 22nd June. The series comprises 12 unique images. Each work is a constructed photograph depicting everday objects - such as scourers or paper- that bring to mind elements of tennis staging: the net, the lawn, the lighting, the rain cover. On the one hand the series plays on the Duchampian tradition of the ready-made, and on the other can remind the viewer of Mondrian's painterly abstraction.
The private view will take place on Sunday 5th June, 4pm-6pm.
The gallery is open 30 mins before and after every performance, film and screenign, during the interval and Saturdays 1pm-3pm.
